- Success Stories
I got this book yesterday and practically read it right through. It is a lovely book, very well written where the author has interwoven his experiences with thought-provoking life lessons, making it a very enjoyable read. I will definitely recommend it to all, and will most certainly read it once again, to absorb the lovely lessons very subtly taught.
Books are our best friends. BYOP is now one of my close friends. Always wished if I could ever fly a plane. But why not? The journey of life also like a flight and what better way to live than to take control of the life situations. This book has in a very easy step helped me to understand, how we can take control of our life, as a pilot does to a plane. We are not just passengers but pilots of our own life planes. Many thanks to Sqr. Ldr Manish Kumar (retd.) for sharing his life experiences through this book. I am going to refer to my friends and also gift some of them.
This is one of the best books I had read till date. It is the first person narrative of a young rookie IAF Fighter pilots which tells you about his experience right from his days at the flying academy. Really, guys, the words and the technical terms used together make this a promising read. I was totally inspired after reading the book. It differentiates the fine line between confidence and overconfidence and how not to give up in times when everything seems to be going in the opposite direction.
BYOP is a small part of the biopic of a Combat Pilot of the Indian Air-Force. It describes the story of following a dream, a wish which was achieved by means of constant belief in oneself. It emphasizes on the fact that constant determination and focus is needed to achieve your goals.
Taking it to the sky is every child’s dream. So is mine. But the autopilot mode tends to take its toll on us, as we progress in life. We somehow lose the zeal and zest and lock it up in some corner of our heart, only to lament one day.
“A true masterpiece.” This book reminds me of one of my all-time favorite books, “Jonathan Livington Seagull” by Richard Bach. The adventures are moving and inspiring and, like in “Greatest Salesman” by Og Mandino, this book helps us along the Road of Life. My recommendation is: GET IT and READ IT!!! – John Harricharan (Author of Best Selling Book “When You Can Walk on Water Take The Boat.”)
Manish has distilled the teachings of great writers, philosophers, and teachers and has interwoven the lessons of life in a beautiful, touching, yet simple to read a story of his Flying days. Knowing Manish from the Military Academy days, I can see how much he has transformed himself using the very tools he teaches us. Well Done Manish! We Hope More From You!
This book is stimulating, enlightening and encouraging. It is filled with practical wisdom for people who want to take control of their lives, their businesses and their careers. Each time I read a section again I get new insights, which suggests the messages are fundamental and deep. It translates positive thinking into ATTITUDE, AMBITION, and ACTION. It gives the winning edge. I am personally and professionally enriched.
I have always kept motivational reading at bay. Robin Sharma, Rhonda Byme, Deepak Chopra et al have failed to make an impact on me. They are great authors no doubt but I have always been too high on my self-belief. You may term me as arrogant. But the innocence of the expressions of the author of this book has moved me to an extent. I recommend this reading only to those few who believe in making it big in life with the heart beating alongside all the time!
